As organizations across North America grapple with AI disruption, economic uncertainty and increasing pressure to deliver growth, we have appointed former Brompton Americas President Juliet Scott-Croxford to lead the next phase of our North American growth.
Scott-Croxford joins Q5 as President, North America, succeeding Claire Markwardt, who has led the business since 2022 and will support a smooth leadership transition before stepping down from the role later this year.
She joins from Brompton Bicycle, where she served as President of the Americas, significantly expanding revenue, increasing market share and strengthening profitability, while helping establish the company as the leading premium folding bicycle brand in North America.
Q5 is a global consulting firm that helps organizations turn strategy into action through expertise in organizational performance, transformation, organization design, leadership, culture and change. We work with some of the world’s most recognized brands and organizations across media, consumer, technology, energy and financial services.
Scott-Croxford brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning consumer, media, retail, mobility and lifestyle sectors. Her expertise includes growth strategy, business transformation, brand building and organizational leadership, helping companies navigate periods of rapid technological, commercial and cultural change.
Prior to Brompton, she held senior leadership roles across media and publishing, including CEO of Worth Media and leadership positions at Guardian Media Group, where she led international expansion, commercial transformation, audience growth and strategic partnerships.
Her appointment comes at a time when business leaders are under growing pressure to harness the opportunities of AI while maintaining growth, productivity and employee engagement. Increasingly, organizations are seeking leaders who can combine commercial discipline with deep expertise in culture, transformation and organizational effectiveness.
Scott-Croxford will lead Q5’s North American growth strategy alongside the leadership team, with an initial focus on New York and Houston, helping expand the firm’s presence across media, consumer, energy, financial services and healthcare sectors while supporting organizations to navigate disruption, accelerate growth and build more adaptive, human-centered businesses in an increasingly AI-influenced world.
Known for combining strategic vision with operational execution, she is particularly passionate about the intersection of leadership, culture, customer experience and commercial performance. She is also an active voice in conversations around the future of cities, mobility, media, leadership accountability and the evolving role of AI in business.
Commenting on her appointment, Juliet Scott-Croxford said:
“The biggest challenge facing leaders today isn’t adopting AI, it’s redesigning organizations so people and technology can create value together. The companies that succeed won’t necessarily be the ones with the most AI tools; they’ll be the ones that can adapt fastest while keeping their people engaged and focused on customers.
“I’m excited to be joining Q5 at such an important moment. What attracted me was the firm’s entrepreneurial spirit, its reputation for helping leaders tackle complex challenges and its focus on combining strategy with practical delivery. Having spent my career leading businesses through growth and transformation, I understand first-hand the realities facing CEOs and executive teams today, and I’m looking forward to helping organizations navigate the opportunities and disruption ahead.”
Olly Purnell, Managing Partner at Q5, said:
“Juliet brings exactly the kind of experience organizations are looking for right now. Her career spans sectors that are being reshaped in real time by digital innovation, changing consumer behavior, AI and deep structural change. She has led businesses, built teams, navigated disruption and delivered growth, and importantly understands the realities leaders face as they respond to technological change, shifting customer expectations and increasing complexity.
Combined with her track record of delivering commercial results and building high-performing organizations, Juliet is exceptionally well placed to lead the next phase of growth for Q5 in North America and her perspective will be invaluable as we continue to grow our North American business and help clients navigate increasingly complex transformation challenges.”
“I would also like to thank Claire Markwardt for her outstanding contribution since joining Q5 in 2022. Claire has led our North American business with tremendous energy, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit, and we look forward to continuing to work with her in an advisory capacity as she embarks on new ventures.”
Scott-Croxford’s appointment reflects growing demand from organizations seeking support not only with strategy, but with the leadership, organizational and cultural shifts required to successfully redesign operating models, unlock growth and execute transformation in an AI-enabled world.
